Summit Christian Academy Schools

Summit Christian Academy serves students from preschool through 12th grade. Stanford Achievement Tests consistently place SCA students higher than the national average.

Early Education Program

Our preschool classes are for children at least 2-1/2 years of age and fully potty-trained. Bible stories, activities, and memory verses are a regular part of the program. SCA preschool classes are a fun and age-appropriate introduction to school for our youngest students. The program involves hands-on activities, music, games, and more that are designed to teach new skills, enhance creativity, and instill a love of learning.

We offer prekindergarten classes for children who will be at least 4 years of age by July 31 of the current year. Our program builds upon the preschool curriculum and includes weekly chapel services, Bible stories, activities, and memory verses. Occasional field trips and classroom visitors serve to enhance the school's program.

Hours are 8:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. for half-day students and 8:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. for full-day students. Early release for Early Education is 11 a.m.

Elementary (K-6)

SCA provides a strong core program in phonics, reading, language, spelling, mathematics, history, Bible, and science. In addition, elementary school students are offered physical education, art, vocal music, band (grades 5-6), library, and chapel. Through the instructional program, students develop a Christian view of God, humanity, and the world. Our elementary school program provides strong academics that fully prepare students for their secondary school courses.

Elementary school hours are 8:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Early release for elementary is 11:50 a.m.

Secondary School

The secondary school is comprised of 7th-8th grade (junior high) and 9th-12th grade (senior high) students. The curriculum is carefully chosen to enhance students' creativity, logical study skills, and critical thinking consistent with the Word of God. Curriculum is regularly reviewed and materials chosen to meet the needs of a variety of learners. The instructional program is supplemented by thoroughly developed, documented, and well-executed Christian curriculum maps that tie biblical principles into all areas of the instructional program.

Junior High School

Our junior high school program is for students in 7th and 8th grade. Our program facilitates a smooth transition from elementary to high school. We continue to educate each student through a combination of academically challenging core class coursework, student activities and academics, and spiritual formation opportunities such as chapel and service projects.

Senior High School

Our high school offers students an opportunity for dual-credit courses where both high school and college credit may be earned. SCA is an A+ School through the A+ Scholarship Program, which funds higher education to Missouri state schools. Our high school also offers a wide variety of student activities and athletics that supplement the core academic program and give students the opportunity to explore and/or develop talents to their God-given potential. The average composite ACT score for 2023 graduates was 22.24.

Secondary school hours are 7:40 a.m. - 2:55 p.m., Monday through Friday. Early release for secondary (7-12th grade students) is 11:30 a.m.
