The Academic Resource Strategies program at SCA is designed to support the two-fold learning needs of those students diagnosed with a learning disability or learning aptitude which precludes entrance into Discovery. Therapists provide an Individual Student Plan (ISP) and work on core academic subjects that are completely modified from the original classroom curriculum according to ISP. Pull out times will be arranged between the therapist and the teacher. Grades for resource students can be administered by the therapist or a combination of the regular ed. teacher and the resource teacher.

Examples of conditions meriting the Academic Resource program entry include, but are not limited to, an IQ too low to meet Discovery criterion, a CAP plan of too great a magnitude to be facilitated solely by a classroom teacher, existence of a physical impairment or medical condition which precludes classroom success without a Academic Resource Program teacher.

Credit Recovery - Should a required class be failed at Summit Christian Academy, students may take a credit recovery course. These courses maintain the integrity of our academic program by providing course biblically integrated objectives from the actual classroom. Credit recovery courses are taught by SCA faculty on campus.

Programs within the SCA Resource Services program are an additional fee for participants who qualify.
