Mrs. McCarty joined the SCA staff in 2023.

"There are so many ways I could define myself. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister. I am a granddaughter, aunt, niece, and friend. I can claim cancer-survivor as well as many other titles. I love to sing, read, and garden, as well as simply listen. Listen to everything around me, as there is so much to appreciate and take in, to learn from. Out of all these titles, the most important one is Child of God. Through all of my life, I have trusted that no matter what, God is there to lift me up. As a young child, I was tasked with memorizing Psalm 91. Perhaps it was through this challenge I was able to hide in my heart the truth that He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
