Summit Christian Academy hosted “See You at the Pole” on September 27, 2023. God’s presence was felt as students, faculty, staff and families joined in prayer around the flag poles at both the SCA Elementary & Secondary buildings. See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. 33-years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. The theme for 2023 was Wholehearted”—based on Jeremiah 29:13 - "If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me." See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. We love celebrating the outstanding students at SCA! We were blessed on May 2, to carry out the tradition of the SCA Senior/Kindergarten walk! It is a very special time when our Seniors prepare to go beyond the walls of SCA, and at the same time our Kindergarten students settle in and move on to the next grade level at SCA to learn and grow in their walk! A long-standing tradition at Summit Christian Academy is for the senior class to go beyond the walls of SCA and serve as a group on the senior mission trip! The SCA Class of 2023 served in Memphis, Tennessee. This was the 19th year that SCA has sent the senior class out to serve on a mission trip. Partnering with the Praying Pelican Missions. Students did manual work including painting, landscaping, yard work, moving, building, cleaning, serving food, and organizing and also built relationships with children and families in the Memphis community. The SCA Class of 2023 shared a powerful message of what God did in their lives as they served, and the purpose that they feel has been put on their hearts to serve Him this year! #SCATradition #GraceWinsatSCA #SCAClassof2023 #TheSCADifference #SCAEagles #CatchTheSCASpirit #SCA
