Summit Christian Academy Theatre Department presents The Music Man

The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Willson's six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef and boy does that turn into TROUBLE! Don't miss this fun & entertaining event!

SCA Homecoming Weekend 2024 was an exciting time where students, alumni, current families, faculty, and friends came together to celebrate the vision and mission of Summit Christian Academy! In 2024 we launched our first SCA Homecoming Parade! We also enjoyed our past as our alumni were treated to a special VIP event and food in the Hospitality room of the Fieldhouse and Activity Center during the Football Game! SCA crowned the 2024 Homecoming Queen & King and enjoyed a win over University Academy with the final score of 24 to 21. Enjoy this video snapshot of SCA Homecoming 2024!

Called to Lead – Joe Hesman

Mr. Hesman will be the 2024-25 Assistant Head of School. For the past eight years, Mr. Hesman has served at SCA. During this time, enrollment in the secondary school has increased by over 200, and the footprint of the campus expanded to include the Goppert classroom wing, an additional new classroom six-plex, SCA Fieldhouse and Activities center, and once again holding classes at Lee’s Summit Community Church. In this new role, Mr. Hesman will continue to report directly to the Head of School and will be identified as the ministry and campus leader in the absence of the Head of School. The position will include operational leadership in student and campus services.
