We’re excited to announce the 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year- 6th Grade teacher Mrs. Ashley Shaw!
This year’s finalists also included Becky Blaine, High School English, and Tim Michael, High School Math.
“Since the 2015-2016 school year, Summit Christian Academy has recognized a teacher of the year to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of excellence in teaching,” shared SCA Head of School Mr. Chris Hahn. “This year, we received over 44 nominations and 291 comments, confirming we are greatly blessed with amazing teachers here at SCA committed to building relationships, and teaching with excellence!”

Her compassion and the grace she shows everyone makes everyone feel at ease around her. She has a way of meeting you where you are, and helping you move forward. The love she has for everyone shines through in her eyes and smile. She is always happy to see you.”

The announcement was made at today’s All School Assembly. SCA’s Teacher of the Year will go on to represent our school in the Great Plains Alliance of Christian Schools Teacher of the Year competition.
