(Lee’s Summit) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that over ninety elementary students were acknowledged and celebrated recently for their accomplishments in reading over summer break.

Every summer, students lose reading momentum from the previous school year if they do not continue to practice. SCA Librarians Meredith McWilliams and Juliete Genteman encouraged incoming first through sixth grade students to read all summer long with a Summer Reading Challenge. Students who completed the challenge were recently rewarded with an outdoor pizza and popsicle party during lunch.
