SCA freshman Jackson Shrum took fourth place at the Lee’s Summit Rotary Noon Club’s Four-Way Speech Contest.

(Lee’s Summit, MO) - Summit Christian Academy (SCA) was pleased to host guests from the Lee’s Summit Rotary to judge thirteen students in competing in the Rotary Four-Way Speech Contest.

The Four-Way Test Speech Competition requires students to prepare a five to seven minute speech to persuade others, while applying one or more principles of the Rotary Four-Way test: “Is it the truth, is it fair to all concerned, will it build goodwill and better friendships, and will it be beneficial to all concerned?”

Freshman Jackson Shrum placed first in the competition with freshman Elena Michael placing second and senior Audrey Ellett placing third.

Jackson Shrum went on to share his speech at the Lee’s Summit Rotary Noon Club, where he was the only freshman competing and earned fourth place.
