(Lee’s Summit, MO) Summit Christian Academy is pleased to announce senior Daniel Alonge as the recipient of the $3,000 SCA Entrepreneurship Scholarship.
The Entrepreneurship Scholarship, available for SCA students who have taken and completed the school’s Entrepreneurship course, was set up by an anonymous SCA donor who puts a high value on entrepreneurship. At the end of the course, students present their business plan to a panel of impartial judges in a “Shark Tank” format to determine who has developed the most viable business plan. The winning scholarship encourages the student to continue in an education toward business ventures.
Daniel’s business plan "Fresh n' Fit" is a cafe and supplement store with the goal to create a positive and peaceful environment that will promote having a strong body and mind.
“Daniel has been imagining a business like this for years and his passion was obvious in the presentation of his business plan,” shared SCA Business Faculty Member Georgia Duncan. “The judges felt that he created an investable business and his business plan was very well developed.”
Daniel will be attending UMKC in the Fall.
