Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that SCA Teacher of the Year and Secondary Bible teacher Dr. Steven Scheperle was named the Great Plains Alliance of Christian Schools’ (GPACS) 2025 Teacher of the Year.
The announcement was made at the annual GPACS student conference. GPACS is an alliance organized to provide a framework for communication and cooperation among Christian schools in the greater Kansas City area for preschool through secondary students.
“While my time as a formal student is no longer what it once was, Dr. Schperle’s class is
one I would willingly take, and would want my own children to take,” shared SCA Head of School Chris Hahn. “He consistently is named as a teacher of impact and influence by our students.”
Dr. Scheperle has a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of Iowa, a Master of Arts in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Evangel University. He joined the SCA team in 2021.
