(Lee’s Summit) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that seniors Gabe Wesselschmidt and Will McConaughey were accepted to perform with the Four State Honor Band at Northwest Missouri State University (NMSU) in Maryville, MO.
Gabe and Will will have the opportunity to perform with the Symphonic Band at the Four State Honor Band Performances- conducted by Dr. Kathryn Strickland and Mr. John Bell- at the NMSU Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, January 23.
"Students are nominated based on Director recommendation and previous musical achievements,” shared SCA Director of Bands Steve Residor. “Out of the two hundred students that were nominated within Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska, Gabe and Will were selected to perform with the Four State Honor Symphonic Band. I am humbled and honored that their education and experiences from SCA prepared them for this reputable ensemble."
