(Lee’s Summit) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that over seventy-five elementary students were acknowledged and celebrated for their accomplishments in reading over summer break.  

Every summer, students lose reading momentum from the previous school year if they do not continue to practice. SCA Librarian Meredith McWilliams encouraged incoming Kindergarten through 6th grade students to read all summer long with a Summer Reading Challenge. Students who completed the challenge were recently rewarded with a pizza and popsicle party during lunch.
