(Lee’s Summit) – Summit Christian Academy is proud to announce the official opening of its newly completed “Fields of Dreams” turf athletic fields, highlighted by the inaugural football, soccer, and softball games played on the newly finished, state-of-the-art turf fields.
As part of this major facility enhancement, SCA installed new turf on the football and soccer fields, the baseball infield and wings, and a west practice field. The new turf installation provides durable, low-maintenance surfaces that allows for extended use throughout the year.
One of the most exciting outcomes of the new baseball turf infield is that it now enables the SCA softball team to host home games on campus for the first time in the 15-year history of the program, marking a significant milestone for the school’s athletics.
“Thanks to the generosity of so many in our community, real transformation took place at our athletic complex,” shared SCA Head of School Chris Hahn. “On behalf of our Board of Directors, families, and future, we thank those that partnered with us to make our Fields of Dreams a reality.”
SCA hosted a Fields of Dreams Dedication during their football season opener on Friday, August 29, followed by their soccer season opener and first-ever home softball game the following week.
