SCA International Education Week included a focus on prayer around the world! From left to right, SCA International Director Rocco DeFelice, Emma Bao (Chinese), John An (Korean), and David Beltran (Spanish) prayed for Secondary announcements each morning. Not pictured, Odeyla Kina (Arabic) and Carmen Mullis (Romanian) also led students in prayer.

(Lee’s Summit) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) recently celebrated the 12th annual International Education Week (IEW). International Education Week is part of SCA’s commitment to building a global community throughout the school, where the school intentionally learns from and celebrates their seven International Students from China, South Korea, and Vietnam.

SCA celebrated International Education Week with many fun and educational activities school-wide. Elementary and Secondary teachers were able to sign up for an International Student to share a World Language Presentation to their class, sharing first-hand about their home country and culture. In addition, prayer each morning was shared campus-wide by students in Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Arabic, and Romanian. Secondary students were able to participate in Fun Lunches with international themes, which included a Kahoot Quiz, Tea Time, and International Puzzles. An International Scavenger Hunt was also set up all week in the Secondary Gym, and the week concluded with International Game Night on Friday evening.
