SCA junior Sarah Woodall drew a still life at the UCM Art Contest. All seven of SCA’s UCM Art Contest participants received a “1” rating in the competition.

(Lee’s Summit, MO) Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that for the first time in SCA history, all seven participants of the University of Central Missouri (UCM) High School Art Contest Day received a “1” rating for the work that they created at the event.  In the contest, students come to the UCM campus and have two hours to create artwork on-site to be judged for artistic merit, or participate in non-competitive workshops.

Participants included: juniors Charlotte Brownlee and Isabella Wilson in painting still life; freshman Kailee Burke, senior Elise Welch, and junior Sarah Woodall in drawing still life; sophomore Tristen Hamline and junior Aubrianna Kennedy in drawing outdoor landscape.
In addition, senior Nathan Bausback attended a design workshop and junior Sarina Manjili attended a ceramics workshop at the event.
