It is a day that is a long-standing tradition and part of the DNA of what it means to be a Summit Christian Academy Eagle. It is a day called Solemn Assembly. Every year since 1999, SCA has set aside a full day to go before the Lord. The administration, staff, and students of Summit Christian Academy set aside Friday, February 2 as a day of Solemn Assembly. During the day, students spent time in prayer, in worship, participated in activities, and had the opportunity to hear from speakers on different topics.
SCA Secondary students heard from keynote speaker Damion Cooper who shared about the importance of your Godly character and being who God created you to be. Secondary students also had the opportunity to attend breakout sessions throughout the day with their small group.
SCA Elementary students were hosted by Pastors Danny & Maria Hermida who offered a keynote and led worship. Students also participated in art, movement, Bible messages, worship, and took time to pray over their homeroom teacher.
What a great day it was for the SCA community.
