Summit Christian Academy,

I wanted to provide a staffing update regarding the SCA Leadership Team for the 2024-25 school year. Following 17 years as a faithful teacher and leader, Mrs. Sanders, the Early Education - Second Grade Principal, announced this will be her last year at SCA. She has accepted the position of Children’s Ministry Director at Fellowship Greenwood.

The time is right for me to fill you in on some personal news. Many of you may know that my family and I have been members at Fellowship Church in Greenwood for almost eight years now. At the end of May, I was approached by my Pastor at Fellowship Church in Greenwood, to serve full-time as the Director of Children’s Ministry. After much prayer, discussion with my family, and the church, I accepted the job offer as Director Children’s Ministry, and began helping in the children’s ministry part-time mainly on Sundays and Wednesdays in June. This joint decision with the church was made with the expectation that the 2023-24 school year will be my last year at SCA. At the conclusion of the school year, I will become the full-time Director of Children’s Ministry. While I am very excited about stepping into this new adventure God is calling me to, this is not a goodbye to SCA. My children, Ethan and Abbie, will continue to attend SCA, as I cannot imagine any other place I would want my children to go to school. My husband, Joe, will continue at SCA as Transportation Director. In addition, I want to stay involved at SCA in various ways, Lord willing, such as volunteering, coaching, and even substitute teaching in the 2024-25 school year and beyond. I will continue to be SCA’s cheerleader in all ways! God has great plans for SCA under Mr. Hahn’s leadership; I have no doubt! Should you want to talk to me about anything, my door is always open.

I have been, and continue to be, excited and blessed to work alongside Mrs. Sanders for the last two years. I am excited for her as she clearly has heard and boldly follows where God has called and is leading. Thank you for your prayers for Mrs. Sanders and her family.

Thank you for your prayers as we formally begin a process to identify the leader God has already selected to serve our children, teachers, and families.
