With over 14 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally. My greatest win in the classroom comes from working with students who struggle with math and guiding them to a place of confidence and sometimes even enjoyment in the subject. I believe every student is capable of learning and growing, and it's an awesome experience to walk alongside them in that journey.

Before teaching, I was a collegiate athlete at Iowa State University. I still love sports and now channel that energy into coaching my own boys, backpacking, camping, and running, which allow me to connect with students outside the classroom and encourage them in different ways.

Coming to SCA was truly a move of God. I wasn't actively looking for a new opportunity, but I felt a clear prompting to explore this school. At first, there were no openings but the very next day, a position in my field became available. Many details had to fall into place for our family to make this move, and each one did not just logistically, but within ourselves because Jesus is thorough in details when He moves us into something new.
