Prior to joining the SCA faculty in 2023, Mrs. Shaw taught for 13 years in middle school, 10 of those  in Christian education. She is originally from Missouri and is returning home after he husband's time in the U.S. Army.

She married her high school sweetheart Aaron and they have three children who attend SCA.
