Mrs. Penwell joined the SCA staff in 2023. She grew up in Ohio where her passion for working with children began. At a young age, Mrs. Penwell began babysitting and volunteering in her church's nursery. She continued her passion for children, getting her degree in early childhood education and volunteering as a youth group leader. Mrs. Penwell has been a site director for a preschool and a before- and after-school program. Additionally, she has been an educational paraprofessional and currently volunteers with the special needs program at her church.
Mrs. Penwell moved to the Kansas City area with her family in July of 2021. They have enjoyed being part of the SCA community and look forward to many years of growing with the SCA family!
