"The teachers and staff of Summit Christian Academy (LSCCS when I was there) will never know how much they impacted my life. I moved . . ."
In January of 2011, Summit Christian Academy piloted a new program celebrating and emphasizing excellence in the arts entitled Virtuosity! Through lessons/classes and authentic performance opportunities, students are encouraged to develop their talents and use them to glorify their Lord. Students participating in Virtuosity! should uphold the highest standards in a personal commitment to both refine their skills and appropriately evaluate the arts.
For a limited number of students, music lessons are available before, during, and after school. Lesson availability depends upon teacher hours, rooms available, and student schedule allowing a particular lesson time. Students will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and lessons taken during school hours will be subject to principal approval. A waiting list will be developed once all available slots are filled.
All music students will participate in two recitals each school year, one in the fall and one in the spring.
Registration fee is due at contract signing (applies to both new and returning students). Virtuosity! t-shirts are available for an additional $7.00.
Cost of books/music (teacher directed).
Lesson fees are billed monthly through FACTS. Fees are determined by teacher degree.
Lessons are offered in piano, voice, guitar, bass guitar, violin, viola, cello, flute, and percussion. Art class is also available for students in grades 6-12.
Please download application form and return to Michelle Nagy. Applications will be accepted until available slots are filled and then a waiting list will be developed.
