Mrs. Tharp and her family spent 12 years in Brazil serving as church-planting missionaries where they also worked with an English language school in various capacities. Upon return to the U.S. in 1999, she worked as curriculum developer and editor. In addition, she worked in public schools for 11 years before coming to Summit Christian Academy.
"I have always enjoyed interacting with students and encouraging them to become all God designed them to be. I love to open up the world of opportunities to students, challenging them to think big and expect great things from God whose plan is more amazing than we could ever imagine."
Mrs. Tharp was instrumental in developing the international program and infusing it at all levels at SCA. She encourages SCA students to welcome international students. Through the international program, she has provided a global perspective for SCA students that fosters an environment of understanding, compassion, and friendship.
