Mrs. Patneau joined the SCA faculty in 2012 after 31 years of teaching Spanish and French in the Park Hill School District. One of the benefits of teaching foreign languages is taking students on trips abroad. She has traveled with student groups to Spain, France, Italy, and Mexico.
"It is rewarding to see students put into practice what they have learned in the classroom."
Mrs. Patneau also had the opportunity to go on a medical mission trip to Honduras with her church, Hope Fellowship. That experience had a great impact on her life and on her church family.
She has three sons and believes her experience as a teacher has made her a better parent and her experience as a parent has made her a better teacher. Mrs. Patneau includes a lot of variety in the classroom to best meet the needs of different learning styles. Learning a new language presents many challenges, but is also a lot of fun.
"I love teaching in a Christian atmosphere where all aspects of a student's growth are addressed."
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
