The SCA College and Career Counseling office has compiled a checklist that will benefit our Freshman students.
Enroll in the most challenging courses.
Talk to a teacher regarding any concerns.
Visit the College & Career Advisor if you need tutoring assistance.
Use a student planner to keep track of assignments, test dates, activities, etc.
Maintain a 3.0 GPA in order to qualify for college level classes during your Junior and Senior year.
Get involved in extracurricular activities. They will improve your college résumé later on.
Consider work-based learning opportunities for the summer like internships, work-site field trips, job shadowing, etc.
Plan for the Future
Start thinking about your college and career goals. Consider what you will need to do in order to reach them.

Visit the Academic Advisor for assistance with making an educational plan.
